Dear Diary,
Bom Dia,
Today I was up at the crack of dawn as usual. My writing cap on, working before it is time to take San and Zo out.
I still can't believe I am climbing the 60 ladder . What a grand celebration we had in Saint Lucia for my birthday and the months are racing by. I would be happy for another 30 good years.
My knees know what year it is. They feel the chill in the air and I think I will be needing to replace them pretty soon.
But the Lord is good. I am grateful that he woke me up this morning.
Him and the dogs. San and Zo have thrived here since we migrated from the Caribbean.
Our routine is still solid, after our walk in the morning, he to his vegetable patch and I to my office over looking the garden. Later a light lunch then a rest and another walk in the woods. A stable constant companionship he and I . We like the quiet life, not many friends or social outings, trying to stay clear of the madness in the world.
We hardly see the child these days, too busy with her career in London for us now.
But I have found new children in the village, they come on evenings sometimes after school for English classes and help with home work. It is good to be around them, they keep me young and in the know.
My friend Yas and her beau will come visit for two weeks soon. We have known each other for over two decades , a book club binding us together beyond books spilling into real life.
Company is a necessary interruption , especially when they are no bother. We plan to drive up to Morocco for a few days, if God is willing. Got to go
Plus tard!
