2023 Thankful and Proud

 For the last two years we have made some decisions that have turned my life upside down. Split me in half being neither here nor there.

Living between two continents being temporarily permanent in two different spaces unable to plant roots.

I find myself loving  and  hating aspects of  both spaces being content yet uneasy here and there.

Nonetheless I am proud at how I have been able to adapt this year. I am proud of my attitude towards my situation.

I am proud that I have found joy in spaces. That my perspective allows me to find pleasure in ordinary things. That my imagination turns ordinary into extra ordinary.

I found peace and excitement in the library,  learnt to relax over a hot chocolate in Weather Spoons with a homeless man.

 Seeing beauty around me as I ride the public bus, it becoming my private limo for only 2 pounds. I sit alone, just me and the driver on the way to Hertford .

My biggest accomplishment,  I think is getting along in this fast paced high tech environment . Solving some problems on my own  though the husband has had my back. Filling my time doing insignificant yet meaningful things.

My relationship with God has grown deeper in 2023 and I have seen more of the world. This past September and October I set foot on African soil and the Asian continent.

I am truly grateful and proud for these accomplishments, for growth and peace.
